While the UK HSE has fined Ardagh and Crabtree over a worker injury one factor got my attention....
According to the HSE report "The court heard that Mr Allen was feeding the metal sheets into the
conveyor of a coating machine when his wedding ring got caught and his
finger was severed."
I recall a colleague who worked as an engineer for British Telecom and he was always told rings should not be worn when on duty as there was always this risk of having your ring finger torn if the ring got snagged in machinery....so......Check out Canworld.net
